About Us

Who We Are

The Saudi Aviation Club (SAC) is the first accredited aviation club in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Founded in December 2000.

It operates as an independent, non-profit organization, aiming to educate Saudi society about aviation sciences and encourage the practice of various aviation activities, including general aviation, sports aviation, and aircraft models.

Through holding exhibitions, conferences and workshops on the latest developments in this field and also provides training services for aviation studies, provides the necessary support and services to aircraft owners.

The operations center of the (SAC) is located at Al Thumama Airport, within the King Khalid Royal Reserve in Riyadh.

The Saudi aviation Club working as the official representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in The Federation Aeronaut International (FAI) and member of the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).

The Founding

The establishment of The Saudi Aviation Club was not a straightforward process for HRH Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, the club's founder and chairman of the board. It encountered numerous obstacles and challenges, necessitating multiple meetings with the Bureau of Experts and the Council of Ministers.

On the 4th of December, 2000 (9/8/1421 H), Saudi Aviation Club (SAC) was officially established as a non-profit legal entity through the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (217). Its primary objective was to promote the dissemination of aviation culture and sciences, and to create a conducive environment for general learning and sports aviation activities.

Subsequently, the affiliate of Saudi Aviation Club was transferred from the Ministry of Defense (MOD) to the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) on the 22nd of April, 2013 (12/6/1434 H), as per the Council of Ministers Resolution No. (189).

Vision

Saudi Aviation Club aims to facilitate and promote the practice of general and sports aviation activities, upholding the utmost levels of quality and safety standards. Furthermore, the club strives to actively contribute to the advancement of the general and sports aviation sector in the Kingdom by establishing strategic partnerships with local and international aviation institutions.

Mission

The Saudi Aviation Club promotes the development of general and sports aviation activities, while adhering to the highest standards of operation and safety, and providing opportunities for the public to engage and participate in various aviation activities.

Message

The Saudi Aviation Club seeks to exchange scientific knowledge related to aviation with all members of society. Facilitating the practice of various aviation activities and providing learning and participation opportunities for aviation enthusiasts in general and sport aviation.

We also strive to organize information forums on general and sports aviation.
