RIYADH, Saudi Arabia – 26 November, 2025: The Saudi Aviation Club and Messe Frankfurt, one of the world’s leading trade fair, congress and event organizers, announced today the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to establish the largest annual general aviation event in the Middle East, uniting global general aviation brands, pilots, innovators, and the aviation community.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed bin Fahad AlFahid, Member of the Board of Directors and General Supervisor of the Club, and Azzan Mohamed, Managing Director, Messe Frankfurt Saudi Arabia, and attended by His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Founder and Chairman of the Saudi Aviation Club, and Wolfgang Marzin, President and Chief Executive Officer of Messe Frankfurt Company.

This landmark collaboration merges the Saudi Aviation Club’s renowned consumer-focused General Aviation Airshow 2025 “Sand and Fun” with Messe Frankfurt’s powerful industry platform, “Aero Middle East”, creating the region’s premier hub for general aviation technology, business, and culture at Al Thumamah airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This strategic move is a direct alignment with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030, aiming to transform and accelerate the Kingdom’s general aviation sector.
