The member of The Saudi Aviation Club, Engineer Munir Bakhsh, CEO of the Saudi Aircraft Maintenance and Preparation Company, announced his success in obtaining the first private airworthiness certificate from the General Authority of Civil Aviation in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for the Experimental aircraft category for his self-made aircraft.
The aircraft manufactured by Engineer Munir Bakhsh is considered a very light aircraft, weighing 323 kg, with a 60-horsepower engine, and is designed for one person and equipped with all navigation devices. It can fly at a speed of up to 160 km per hour for 3 hours. The aircraft also contains a parachute that carries the entire aircraft in the event of an emergency, God forbid.
He expressed his happiness with this achievement, and that it will open the doors for inventors and aviation enthusiasts to manufacture and register their aircraft.
