The Organizing Committee of the General Aviation Show (Sand & Fun) conducted its first meeting on Wednesday, August 22, 2024, chaired by His Royal Highness Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Saudi Aviation Club.
The meeting started with a welcoming speech by His Royal Highness Prince Saud, in which he thanked the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and his Royal Crown Prince for the great support provided by the state to the aviation sector in the Kingdom. His Highness also thanked all participating parties from ministries and other institutions, stressing the importance of cooperation and coordination to ensure the success of the national event (Sand & Fun), which comes within the Saudi Seasons.
His Highness expressed his thanks to His Royal Highness Prince Sultan bin Salman for his trust and assignment to chair the committee, noting the importance of teamwork in achieving the success of the event. During the meeting, it was emphasized that the General Aviation Show (Sand & Fun) is a national event targeting all members of society and visitors from outside the Kingdom, and that joint work between the various parties is the key to success.
A brief presentation was also given about the event, which will be held from November 19 to 23, 2024, including the exhibition's objectives, planned activities, and organizational and service aspects. In the meeting also discussed attendees' inquiries regarding the tasks of the participating entities and their implementation mechanisms.
The meeting was concluded with the thanks to everyone by Prince Saud bin Khalid Al-Faisal for their attendance and positive interaction, stressed the importance of continuing teamwork to ensure the success of the event, with the date of the next meeting scheduled in October 2024.
